What Is Cholesterol?

molecules. The liver manufactures two types of carrier molecules: LDL (low density
lipoprotein) and HDL (high density lipoprotein).

including those of the artery walls. HDL molecules transport cholesterol from
body tissues back to the liver for disposal, removing excess fat and cholesterol
