Emerita Phytoestrogen Cream - New and Improved Formula
Phytoestrogens, Estrogen Dominance and Natural Balance
The word phytoestrogen comes from "phyto," meaning plant, and "estrogen," signifying their ability to affect estrogenic activity in your body. While, not chemically identical to the hormone your body makes, phytoestrogens can fill empty estrogen receptor sites and produce mild estrogen-like effects.
This can be a real help if your estrogen level is low, as it is in menopause. But also, phytoestrogens can be helpful if your estrogen levels are high, as in women who suffer from PMS, menstrual irregularities and endometriosis. High levels of estrogen are referred to as "estrogen dominance," which can produce breast tenderness, bloating, irritability and mood swings. Estrogen-dominant women use phytoestrogens to compete with their own estrogens for binding to receptors. This can help reduce the overall estrogenic effect in the body because the effects of phytoestrogens tend to be milder than those of estrogen. Hundreds of plants contain phytoestrogens. Some of the more well-known include Red Clover, Licorice, and Soy. Historically, these plants have been used to balance hormones and control fertility. Recently, there has been a resurgence of phytoestrogen research as women demand options to conventional hormone replacement therapy. Some studies report positive findings on bone loss reduction in women supplementing with soy phytoestrogens. Other research points to reduction of cardiovascular disease risk similar to that seen with estrogen replacement therapy (ERT).

Can I use too much?
Generally, phytoestrogens are considered safe when used by healthy individuals at levels similar to or below those found in diets high in phytoestrogens. Our Phytoestrogen Cream contains a level of phytoestrogens that is below that which would be found in a high-phytoestrogen diet.
What's the benefit of using both Phytoestrogen Cream and Pro-Gest®?
Emerita Pro-Gest® and Emerita Phytoestrogen Cream provide dual support for a woman at menopause as well as during the menstrual cycle. Emerita Pro-Gest® Cream addresses the progesterone side of the hormone balance equation, while Emerita Phytoestrogen Cream addresses the estrogen side of the equation.
Can I start the Emerita Phytoestrogen Cream at the same time I start the Emerita Pro-Gest®?
The Emerita Phytoestrogen Cream and the Emerita Pro-Gest® may be started at the same time. The Emerita Phytoestrogen Cream may be used daily, while the Emerita Pro-Gest® may be best utilized in conjunction with a woman's cycle if she is still menstruating. Can I apply Emerita Pro-Gest® and Emerita Phytoestrogen to the same spot and at the same time?
For best absorption, the two creams should be applied to different areas, but they can be used at the same time.

so far so good; I just started this cream 2 days ago at the same time I started the progest cream. I was told that I have a thin uterine lining and low estrogen and that is the reason that I did not start a period when I tried porovera; I am trying to go the natural way and I am going to use the progrest for ten days and stop in hopes to starting a menstrual period
