antioxidant actions in vitro. Salvianolic acid, a metabolite of MSV-60, was
shown to be the strongest of salvia's constituents in protecting heart mitochondria
from free radical damage.
MSV-60 and salvia extracts in general have also been shown to support normal
platelet functioning and healthy blood flow and circulation, according to a
number of in vitro studies.
